Sweet leaves of grass grow fresh in Camden,
And so we proudly gather there;
Our hearts and minds unite
To share the poet's light,
On the banks of the old Delaware.

Camden Chorus:

On the banks of the old Delaware, my friends,
Sound the clarion trumpets, let them blare;
Clash the cymbals, ruff the snare,
Rutgers' glory fill the air,
On the banks of the old Delaware.

Verse:

The sun of justice shines in Camden;
Its enlightened truth we all can share;
Our hearts and minds unite
At that honored urban site;
On the banks of the old Delaware.
